Lions International Legacy Project
In celebration of Lions Club International’s Centennial recognition, the CV Lions Club decided to demonstrate their long community service by supporting the local Coachella Valley History Museum. Throughout the years the Club has collaborated with the museum to celebrate the Date Festival’s Parade Day by offering a Community Pancake Breakfast the morning of the parade day for locals and parade participants. I believe that the Club also renovated their kitchen for them in the past. The museum is in the process of renovating their property by adding a promenade for visitors to relax and enjoy the museum’s outdoor desert environment and learn about the valley’s history. The Club has agreed to purchase large planters under the water tower and a park bench as part of our Centennial Legacy Project. The donated equipment will be identified as being provided by the local CV Lions Club in appreciation to the museum’s preservation of the local history with an attached plaque.
